I run Imca mod and was looking at lite weight gears. I was told if go lite weight i can drop a one to two gears ratios. Is this True???? dont want to spend that much money and be wrong gear.

That does not sound right? A gear ratio is what it is all else being equal.

the liter gear is only going to lower the rotating weight it will be like going to a liter drive shaft. the main thing you would gain is longer bearing live in the 3rd member.

Less rotating weight means u will also accelerAte quicker. which could also result in more rpm. u might be able to go from a 543 to a 537 or 567 to a 557

You arent removing enough rotating mass to justify a gear ratio change by going to a light weight gear.
