The guy who rebuilt our last one recommended Type-F. We had 7 seasons on the trans when we sold that car, and never had any issues.

There is an article with Mr. Brinn himself, where he basically says it doesn't matter what you put in it as long as you change it when you change your engine oil.

I was told if you run engine oil "20w-50" it can't be synthetic? Also have heard of running Type F. Whatever you run, stick to it or your clutches will come apart.

20-50 non synthetic oil. 4 seasons, pulled it apart and the clutch discs look great.

I run type F in my falcon, looks good at rebuilds, biggest issue I have been having is local stores not having much selection of type F anymore. Your down to house brand at most.

Any good 20-50 non-synthetic oil will work well. Dextron III is also recommended. Type F transmission fluid has some extra friction enhancers that can cause excessive wear to our clutches.Thank you for running a BRINN!
