(Mineral Wells, WV) 07/21/2013 – Staff at West Virginia Motor Speedway (WVMS) has decided to add an additional event preceding the August 30th race with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series. Now there will be two separate days of racing with stellar classes that race fans in the Mid-Ohio Valley and beyond will enjoy.

The August 29th and 30th shows will be now named RaceFest. Last ran in 2010, RaceFest will once again become an annual tradition at The ‘Plant on the Thursday and Friday of Labor Day weekend.

“We’ve wanted to try and put together an event that is worthy of the RaceFest name and heritage. I believe this will be it.” said track president Lynn Chapman.

On August 29th, the ADRA Super Late Models will race for $4,000 to win, $400 to start with no entry fee! The Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association (OVSCA) 410 Sprint Cars will race for $2,000 to win, $275 to start. The Renegades of Dirt Traveling Modifieds will race for $1,000 to win, $100 to start with no entry fee! Rounding out the August 29th event is the front wheel drive 4-cylinders. They will race for $300 to win, $50 to start.

The World of Outlaws Super Dirt Late Models (WoOLMS) will headline the August 30th event, paying $10,000 to win, $700 to start. The OVSCA 410 Sprint Cars will race for $2,500 to win, $300 to start. The Renegades of Dirt Traveling Modifieds will race for $3,000 to win, $1,000 to start. Closing out the final night of racing is the the front wheel drive 4-cylinders. They will race for $400 to win, $70 to start.

The August 30th show will have provisional starting spots in the A-main generated from the previous night of racing in the A-mains for WoOLMS and the Renegades of Dirt Traveling Modifieds.

The highest finishing Super Dirt Late Model in the ADRA event on August 29th that doesn’t qualify for the August 30th WoOLMS A-main will get awarded a provisional for the August 30th WoOLMS A-main.

The Renegades of Dirt Traveling Modifieds will award two provisionals for the two highest finishing modifieds from A-main on August 29th that doesn’t qualify for the August 30th A-main.

A tire rule amendment has been made for the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour for RaceFest. The tire rule for both nights of “MODFEST” will be as follows: only the use of any medium or harder compound 8″ modified racing tire will be allowed on the rear. The use of any SOFT compound tire will be legal on the front only. Any medium or harder compound which includes the Hoosier M100 & M200 compound tires are LEGAL. The UMP A40 or H40 will be legal all the way around, the UMP D40 will be legal on the front only and will not be allowed on the rear. The tires may be siped and grooved, however chemically altering the tire by any means (treatments, etc.) is illegal and strictly enforced.

General admission two day tickets for August 29th & 30th are $45.00, a seven dollar discount from buying the tickets separately. Two day pit passes for August 29th & 30th are $70.00, a ten dollar discount from buying them separately. General admission tickets for the August 29th are $22.00, pit passes are $40.00. General admission tickets for the August 30th WoOLMS event are $30.00, pit passes are $40.00.

Primitive camping is only $25.00 for all weekend. A DJ will be provided for entertainment after the event

Hot laps will begin at 7pm sharp on August 29th & 30th. General Admission gates open at 4pm and pit gates will open at 2pm on both days as well.
