Harold Hardgrove Memorial Tune-Up Now This Saturday July 27 at Lake Cumberland Speedway

Burnside, KY-July 25, 2013- Lake Cumberland Speedway track promoter Brandon Hardgrove is pleased to announce that the racing event for this Saturday July 27 will be the Harold Hardgrove Memorial Tune-Up, with Super Late Models, Modifieds, Sportsman/Road Hogs, and Four Cylinders in action.

The winner of the Super Late Model portion of the Harold Hardgrove Memorial Tune-Up will be guaranteed a starting position in the 5th Annual Harold Hardgrove Memorial event that will take place on Saturday August 3. The winning Super Late Model driver from the Tune-Up event this Saturday July 27 will start no worse than sixth position in the Memorial event on Saturday August 3 and could possibly start in an even better starting position. Also beginning on Saturday July 27, the quick six dashes return in all divisions as requested by many of the loyal Lake Cumberland Speedway fans.

The Harold Hardgrove Memorial Tune-Up event this Saturday July 27 will feature Super Late Models racing for $1,000 to win, Modifieds racing for $600 to win, Sportsman/Road Hogs racing for $300 to win, and Four Cylinders racing for $150 to win. Gates will open at 4:00 p.m., with the drivers meeting set for 7:00 p.m., with practice laps at 7:30 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing. Ticket prices for July 27 in the general admission area will be $12 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, ages 5 and under will be free, and a pit pass will be $30.

The 5th Annual Harold Hardgrove Memorial will take place on Saturday August 3, with the Super Late Models racing for $3,000 to win, Modifieds racing for $800 to win, Sportsman/Road Hogs racing for $300 to win, and Four Cylinders racing for $150 to win. More details concerning the 5th Annual Harold Hardgrove Memorial event will be released this Sunday July 28. Brad Neat of Dunnville, KY is the defending champion of the Harold Hardgrove Memorial event.

Lake Cumberland Speedway is located at 1 Racetrack Road, just outside of Burnside, KY, just past the entrance to General Burnside Island State Park. Brandon Hardgrove is the track promoter and presents dirt track racing entertainment on Saturday evenings. The track is located on Racetrack Road off of US Hwy. 127 South, only about five miles south of Somerset, KY.
