Josh McGuire Racing Readies for Big Doubleheader at Southern Ohio and 201!

(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) Josh McGuire and his #41 team bolted into Skyline Speedway in Stewart, Ohio and 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky over the July 26-27 weekend. On Friday night at Skyline, the annual 'Jack Shutts Memorial' boasted a $3,000 top prize. Josh, who has enjoyed a tremendous win percentage in his career at Skyline, set fast time during the qualifying session prior to taking the win in the dash. The Grayson, Kentucky ace then ran a steady race during the unsanctioned main event and wound up second behind only race winner Tim Dohm.

At 201 on Saturday evening, a $1,500 winner's check was on the line in a regular weekly showdown. Josh set a New Track Record during time trials and later scored a heat race victory. After starting the feature from the pole position and leading the first six circuits, Josh slipped a bit to finish fourth in the final rundown behind only victor D.J. Wells, Chris Combs, and Stephen Breeding. Complete results from both programs can be accessed online at www.skylinespeedway.net and www.201speedway.net.

The Josh McGuire Racing (JMR) team will now set their sights on two high-profile, unsanctioned races in the states of Ohio and Kentucky on August 2-3. Up first will be a trip to Southern Ohio Speedway in Wheelersburg, Ohio on Friday for the 3rd Annual ‘Hall of Fame Classic,’ which will pay $3,000 to the winner. The doubleheader weekend will then conclude on Saturday at 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky, as the ‘Hatfield & McCoy Feuding 50’ will feature a $5,000 to win main event.
