Daniel Baggerly Sweeps Fastrak Pro Late Model Twin 20s at Virginia Motor Speedway!
(RURAL RETREAT, VIRGINIA) Daniel Baggerly, of Rural Retreat, Virginia, scored his first two victories of the 2013 racing season on Saturday evening, July 27 at the pristine Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, Virginia. With a total of 19 Late Model entrants, the Crate Late Models and Limited Late Models were grouped together to compete in a pair of Twin 20s. Armed with almost 200 less horsepower than the Limited cars, Daniel posted the tenth fastest lap during the qualifying session aboard his Fastrak Pro Late Model.
Despite the horsepower difference, "Bagz" ran competitive and finished eighth in the first 20-lapper and seventh in the final main event. By virtue of him being the highest-finishing Crate Late Model in both races, Daniel recorded a pair of victories totaling $800. The #16 B&B Motorsports team has opted to take the upcoming August 2-3 weekend off from racing action, but is scheduled to return to competition on Saturday, August 10 at the nearby Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia. The Ultimate Super Late Model Series will roar into the picturesque 1/2-mile speedplant to preside over a $4,000 to win showdown.
