R.J. Conley Moves 2013 Win Total to Six After Weekend Sweep in Buckeye State!
(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) R.J. Conley's 2013 win total now stands at six following a weekend sweep of events at the Southern Ohio Speedway in Wheelersburg, Ohio and the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on July 26-27! On Friday night at SOS, the inaugural running of the 'Buckeye 30' paid $3,000 to the winner. R.J. qualified well and ran fourth in the dash prior to leading the last eighteen circuits of the 30-lapper. The Wheelersburg ace scored the victory at his hometown venue over Delmas Conley, Paul Davis, Danial Kattine, and JT Conley. At Portsmouth on Saturday evening, R.J. timed in fourth fastest in qualifying, finished fifth in the dash, and later led the last five laps of the 25-lap main event. He picked up the $2,000 payday by besting Jackie Boggs, Ben Adkins, Jason Montgomery, and Mark Frazier!
Delmas and Rod Conley were also in action with R.J. at the two southern Ohio venues last weekend. Delmas finished a strong runner-up in Friday's show at Southern Ohio Speedway, while he won his heat race and wound up sixth in the final rundown at PRP. Rod, on the other hand, suffered mechanical problems in both races. "Hot Rod" finished twelfth in Wheelersburg after knocking a hole in his radiator and was relegated to a sixteenth place effort at Portsmouth on Saturday after breaking a battery.
