Kent Robinson Snares $2k Payday at Eldora; Cedar Lake Next

Bloomington, Indiana (08/01/13) – The first night of the Dirt Late Model Invitational at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) started with a bang for Kent Robinson on Tuesday, July 23rd as he stormed to the $2,000 win in his #7r JB's Salvage/Club 29 Rocket/Jay D ickens Racing Engine Super Late Model!

The event, which was held in conjunction with the historic NASCAR Camping World Truck Series weekend at the famed, 1/2 mile oval, featured twenty drivers, who were invited to compete in the two day affair.

In qualifications Robinson turned the 8th fastest lap, and that proved to be the magic number as the top eight qualifiers were inverted for the feature. As a result Kent started on the pole for the feature with Jacob Hawkins starting outside. Robinson went on to storm to the victory, which marked his third overall of the season! He was followed across the finish line by Jeep VanWormer, Tyler Red(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word), Duane Chamberlain, and Jeff Bab(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word).

Wednesday night found another $2,000-to-win event being contested in front of a capacity crowd at Eldora Speedway. Kent started his night by winning his heat race, and with the feature line up being determined by the previous night's qualifying he started 6th on the grid for the feature. He was running in the top five on lap 15 of the feature, when he ran over a piece of debris that cut his tire down and sent him into the wall ending his night in the 18th position.
