hi this is kind of a dumb question but we have a 2008 masters and was wondering if moving the upper control arm up or down changes anything more than just camber.

It will change your front roll center...

also the stepper upper a-arm angle make the chamber change faster.

Generaly the following will apply, Increasing upper control angle, lowering the mounting points on the chassis, will raise the roll center OR lowering this angle, raising the control arm mounting points on the chassis, a flater upper control angle will lower the roll center. On most dirt late models a roll center between one inch and four inches above ground level works best. The other reallity is the roll center often moves left to right as the car goes thru turning and roll and as it moves the roll center will go up or down along this travel path. Roll center is more an indicator of a front end set up than any thing else. ALL frontend designs are a compromise and as the previous writer stated you can increase camber gain by increasing this angle but you could adversly affect front end geometry and rollcenter location if not properly set. The Mastersbuilt front ends are a very sound design when properly set up as designed. I have set up many cars on upper control arm sliders to fine tune suspensions, personaly I like the Lazer round 1 1/4" sliders.
Before you mess with this it is best to get a good front end program and plot the entire front end to see what changes will do. JMHO
