One Night Only: Wythe Raceway Hosts the ULTIMATE Supers Saturday August 10th

Rural Retreat, Virginia – The ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series is set to make their one and only Wythe Raceway visit on Saturday night, August 10th. The ULTIMATE Series has been the hottest young racing series in the Southeast in 2013 and on August 10th they will visit what is highly regarded as one of the most exciting speedways in the country. The combination of these 2 will likely only produce dynamic, edge of your seat racing action. The ULTIMATE Super Late Model A-Main is scheduled for 40 laps and will pay the winner a cool 4 grand. “We always look forward to racing at Wythe. Fred and Susan Brown are two of the nicest folks in the racing business. They also own one of the best racetracks in the country. The racing surface is always smooth and very racy. Along with the great racing, the views at Wythe are simply breathtaking. I always tell everyone that they must attend at least one race at Wythe in their lifetime. It’s one of those “bucket-list” kinds of places.” said ULTIMATE Series Director Kelley Carlton.

During the series’ 2 2012 visits to Wythe one name reigned supreme – Vic Hill. Hill swept both events and turned away all challengers to capture over $9000 in prize money. Hill is scheduled to return to Wythe on Saturday to try to make it 3 for 3. However if Hill is to get his 5th career ULTIMATE Series victory he will no doubt have to face down reigning ULTIMATE Series Champion Casey Roberts. Roberts has been on an absolute tear in 2013 with the series. Roberts has picked up 5 wins on the year and is the only repeat winner in through the first 11 events. Other drivers expected to be in action include series regulars Brett Miiler, Chris Ferguson, Jeff Smith, Larry Timms, Casey Barrow along with regional racers like Daniel Baggerly, Dennis Franklin, Kennie Compton, Justin Labonte, Mike Gault, Zack Mitchell and others.

Wythe Raceway is always on the cutting edge of technology and looking to give fans a complete entertainment experience when they visit the facility. To that end fans will find several features at Wythe put in place to enhance their visit and keep them informed. Each week Wythe distributes a 4-page color program which provides much information about the track and its drivers.
