New Richmond, WI (August 6, 2013): This year’s edition of the USA Nationals and FANSFund certainly finished on a strong note. The racing was exciting all weekend long; we had a first time, and very deserving, USA Nationals winner with Tim McCreadie taking home the $50K along with the prestigious Eagle trophy that goes with it; and a flurry of activity around the FANSFund which had an anonymous donor come on board for the FANSFund Thursday morning that wanted all drivers that entered the World of Outlaw portion of the show to receive $50 in the form of a Cedar Lake Speedway Gift Certificate, how cool is that!

This year 14 drivers were invited to attend the USA Nationals with support of the FANSFund. The following 13 drivers, that were able to make it, split a Fund of $16,900 for a cool $1,300 per driver: Clay Fisher, DeWitt, AK; Timothy Culp, West Monroe, LA; Brett Swedberg, Shawano, WI; Dan Stone, Thompson, PA; Kevin Weaver, Gibson City, IL; the father/son team of Donnie Moran and Devin Moran, Dresden, OH; Ross Camponovo, Clarksdale, MS; Ronnie Lee Hollingsworth, Northport, AL; Jared Hawkins, Fairmont, WV; Nick Anvelink, Bonduel, WI; Bobby Pierce, Oakwood, IL; and Jonathan Davenport, Blairsville, GA. Unfortunately Jesse Stovall’s motor, that he needed to be competitive at Cedar Lake, was not completed in time for him to make the tow up here. Although this was unfortunate for Jesse, the other drivers reaped the benefit of splitting his share to receive an additional $100.

The always popular FANSFund luncheon was held at 11:00 AM Saturday in the jam packed Cedar Lake Arena. Fans, Sponsors, and Drivers, their families, and Crew were in attendance where each of the drivers was introduced, asked to say a few words, and presented their money. Everyone in attendance received lunch, a FANSFund t-shirt, a personal meet-and-greet with the FANSFund Drivers, and were eligible for numerous door prizes which consisted of door panels, driver and sponsor t-shirts, a helmet, die-cast cars, etc. Thank you to Cedar Lake Speedway and their staff for providing the luncheon, all of the FANSFund volunteers that helped, and the drivers and sponsors that contributed door prizes.

THANK YOU to our sponsors for helping make the FANSFund and luncheon a great success! When you have the opportunity please make sure to patronize and thank them for their support: Pepsi, Cedar Lake Speedway, Badger Storage and Excavating, Johnson Motor Sales, NDT Solutions, NextGen Companies/CarQuest, Casey Farms, Jasper Racing Engines and Transmissions, and Dirt Late Model Magazine. Overall the 2013 edition of the USA Nationals and FANSFund was a huge success. With it now behind us, and as we start to plan for next year, it’s time for the team to take a look back and assess what went well, what didn’t, and what we can do different to make the 2014 edition of the FANSFund even better. Check back to our website periodically or like us on Facebook to stay abreast of things as they develop during the racing offseason.

A huge Thank You to all the FANS and Sponsors that have supported us! Although voting has not yet started for 2014, fundraising has and donations can be made online at: www.FANSFund.com/donations or by clicking on the Donate bottom from the home page, where all the information you need to donate can be found.
