Jacob Hawkins Goes Two-for-Three in Weekend Action

Fairmont, West Virginia (08/07/13) – Jacob Hawkins enjoyed a great weekend behind the wheel of his #20h St. Henry Nite Club/Rocket/Dargie Racing Engine Super Late Model over the weekend as he won two of the three events that he entered.

Friday night found Hawkins pitted at Beckley Motorsports Park (Beckley, West Virginia) for the Down 'N Dirty 30. Nineteen Super Late Models entered the program, and after qualifying 6th fastest Hawkins started 6th in the dash before advancing to a 4th place finish. His dash performance locked him into the 4th starting spot for the feature, and that's where he would finish behind race winner, Mike Benedum, Rick Williams, and Zack Dohm. Full results are available at www.BeckleyMotorsports.com.

On Saturday evening the team returned to Ohio Valley Speedway (Lubeck, West Virginia) for a $2,000-to-win, ADRA program. Via preliminary action Jacob locked into the 4th starting spot for the feature and would go on to advance to the lead and the win in the special event! Hawkins' winning ways for the weekend weren't finished on Saturday night though as the team invaded Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, West Virginia) on Sunday evening for the Bob Weigle Memorial, which was held as part of the 51st Annual Tyler County Fair. For the second-straight night Jacob would find himself charging to the lead and the win. With the $1,500 win Hawkins increased his 2013 win tally to six!
