Eddie Carrier Jr. Returns to Victory Lane with Hatfield-McCoy Triumph

Salt Rock, West Virginia (08/07/13) - Eddie Carrier Jr. shook the monkey off his back on Saturday night and piloted his #28 Grover Motorsports/Rocket/Grover Racing Engine Super Late Model to the $5,000 win in the inaugural Hatfield-McCoy at 201 Speedway (Sitka, Kentucky).

An off weekend from Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) competition turned into Eddie Carrier Jr.'s third win of the 2013 campaign with a triumph in the Hatfield-McCoy 50 at 201 Speedway (Sitka, Kentucky).

The race posted a $5,000-to-win purse, and with 32 cars entered Carrier Jr. swept the program by setting fast time honors with a 13.022 second lap around the oval before winning his heat race and blazing to the win in the feature event! Josh McGuire, R.J. Conley, Zach Dohm, and Walker Arthur rounded out the top five finishers in the final rundown.

"When you start struggling it seems like you will never get back to good again, but a win like this can quickly make you feel happy again," a relieved Carrier Jr. said. "Even though we've been struggling, my team and sponsors haven't given up a bit and I can't thank them enough. Hopefully we can carry this momentum into next weekend."
