The FASTRAK $40.000 3rd Annual Bill Hendren Memorial Race This Friday August 16th at Cleveland County Speedway

(Carnesville, Georgia) – Steve Hendren and Hendren Racing Engines Family in conjunction with the FASTRAK Racing Series and Cleveland County Speedway are proud to announce the 3rd Annual Bill Hendren Memorial is set for this Friday night, August 16th. After many hours of work throughout the year and countless donations from the racing industry the Bill Hendren Memorial year after year has packed more cash and prizes for the FASTRAK SE/ME Region Touring racers. That will continue for the 3rd consecutive year again August 16th.
The event will be a complete National format show which will be headlined by a 40-lap feature for the FASTRAK City Chevrolet SE/ME Touring Division. The feature will pay $2,000 to the winner. There is also an additional $2,000 in lap sponsor money. For those drivers not making the A-Main, there will be at least one 12-lap non-qualifiers race which boasts cash and prize awards which contingencies also up for grabs. The 3rd Annual Bill Hendren Memorial as a total of – $22,555.00 In Contingency Awards as of August!! Hendren’s son Steve is extremely amazed by the outpouring of support for the event. “We have been absolutely overwhelmed by the response to this event since its inception in 2011. I am amazed by all the people that have stepped up and gave us money and products to give away or being a lap sponsor. It has always been our intent to try to get enough to make sure that every racer leaves with something. We have done that and then some thanks to everyone’s generosity for the two previous races. We are already looking towards next year too in 2014. We want to thank everyone who has come on to help us, it is more than I ever expected.” concluded Steve Hendren.
“Bill Hendren was certainly a big part of the success of FASTRAK. He was always at National Tech meetings at our banquets. He helped train tech people within the FASTRAK system and was instrumental in the development of our 750 HP Super Late Model spec engine. Bill was always on the internet helping people with engine tech and issues. I am honored that Ms. Hendren, Steve and Mike would allow us to do this event. I truly look forward to it. Fans need to be there and bring a chair just in case the stands are full.” said FASTRAK Founder and President Stan Lester.
The 3rd Annual Bill Hendren Memorial will get started with Pit Gates opening at 4PM and Grandstands will open at 5PM. The Drivers Meeting is scheduled for 7:15PM and on track activity will immediately follow. Adult Grandstand Admission is only $8 for this racing spectacle. Ages 10 & Under - FREE and Pits Admission is $25 with Drivers getting in FREE!!
