So I have an E1 head and it has the holes in the floor of the exhaust port. Those can't be good for flow right? So the question is what do you do to fill those holes? Weld them up, jb weld or another type of epoxy?

i would just leave them alone. the header flange covers the hole and it becomes a dead air spot which shouldn't affect the flow. i do admit though that i have never seen any flow numbers or testing on your concern. maybe 84 dave or big e have done some testing.

We always use hi temp epoxy.Rough up the hole with a tap.Pack it solid, lasts for many rebuilds.

The easy way to handle those holes is to ignore them. If you are picky, drill and tap the holes for pipe plugs. They don't affect the flow of the ports.
