Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series Land of Lincoln Triple Shot Next August 30, 31, and September 1

Glasgow, KY-August 25, 2013- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series is set to present its biggest weekend in series history as far as prize and purse money is concerned as the tour embarks on its first-ever Land of Lincoln Triple Shot tour making first-ever appearances at three of the finest racing facilities in the state of Illinois with some big time money up for grabs in the heart of UMP Dirt Car country.

The Land of Lincoln Triple Shot weekend begins on Friday August 30 at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, IL with a $3,000 to win/$225 to start A-Main event, followed on Saturday August 31 at Fairbury’s American Legion Speedway for the Casey’s Modified Nationals paying $5,000 to win and $250 to start, and concluding on Sunday September 1 at Spoon River Speedway in Canton, IL with the Mod Fall Nationals paying $5,000 to win and $250 to start. If one driver wins all three events, it will be worth $13,000 and if a driver makes the A-Main each night, he or she will earn a minimum of $725 to start. The total purse payout for the Land of Lincoln Triple Shot weekend will be around $44,000, making it one of the most lucrative and must attend weekends for UMP Modified drivers from all over the Midwest during the 2013 racing season.

The weekend will begin on Friday August 30 at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, IL as the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will present a full program of practice A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the $3,000 to win/$225 to start A-Main. Joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series that evening will be track’s Super Late Model division racing for $2,000 to win. Activities at Farmer City Raceway will see the pit area open at 3:00 p.m., with practice set for 6:30 p.m. and time trials at 7:00 p.m., followed immediately by green flag racing. All times listed are CDT. Ticket prices at Farmer City Raceway on Friday August 30 in the general admission area will be $20 for adults and a pit pass will be $35. On Saturday August 31, the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will be at Fairbury’s American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, IL and will present a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the $5,000 to win/$250 to start Casey’s Modified Nationals A-Main event. Also on the racing card with the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Fairbury that evening will be the track’s Super Late Model division racing for $3,000 to win. Activities at Fairbury’s American Legion Speedway on Saturday August 31 will see the pit area open at 2 p.m., with drivers meeting set for 5:30 p.m., with practice at 5:50 p.m, followed by time trials at 6:30 p.m., followed immediately by green flag racing.
