Brandon Kinzer Eleventh in Whiskey City 50; Starts Preparing for Eldora!

(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) The Kinzer Motorsports team invaded the Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana on Saturday evening, August 24 for the annual running of the 'Whiskey City 50.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presided over the one-day program, which boasted a $10,000 winner's check. Brandon Kinzer started his night at the 3/8-mile oval by clicking off the twelfth fastest lap overall during the qualifying session.

Brandon then finished a strong second in his heat race behind only prelim victor Jared Landers to earn the outside third row starting spot for the 50-lap main event. During the course of the A-Main, which was taped by the television cameras of the Lucas Oil Production Studios for broadcast later in the Fall, Brandon hung around the top ten for the majority of the race before eventually claiming a steady eleventh place performance. Complete results from the 'Whiskey City 50' can be accessed by clicking on www.lucasdirt.com.

While the #18 team plans to take the upcoming Labor Day holiday weekend off from Dirt Late Model competition, they will be hard at work preparing for the rapidly approaching ‘World 100.’ The event known as “The Granddaddy of Them All” will take place on September 5-7 at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. Thursday and Friday night at the “Big E” will feature complete shows with a full slate of multi-car time trials to split the field into even/odd groups followed by heat races, B-Mains, and twin 25-lap main events, each paying $5,000 to the winner. On Saturday, the time-honored format of six heat races, along with two B-Mains and B-Scrambles, will lead into the 100-lap ‘World 100,’ which boasts a hefty $46,000 top prize and the prestigious globe trophy.

The total posted awards for the 2013 edition of the ‘World 100’ is a record $283,910. Brandon will be making his first trip in September to Eldora since 2010. He has one career ‘World 100’ start, as he finished eleventh back in 2002.
