Conley Motorsports, Inc. Set to Embark on Lucrative Labor Day Weekend

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) The Conley Motorsports, Inc. teams were in Dirt Late Model competition on Saturday evening, August 24 at two different venues in the states of Indiana and Ohio. R.J. Conley took his #71c to the Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned 'Whiskey City 50.' R.J. posted the sixteenth fastest lap during the qualifying session and later grabbed the sixth and final transfer spot through his heat race. After starting the $10,000 to win feature event from the outside of the eighth row, the Wheelersburg, Ohio ace was unfortunately forced to retire after only fourteen circuits due to overheating issues and was placed twenty-first in the final rundown.

Delmas and Rod Conley were once again in action on Saturday at the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio in a weekly $2,000 to win program. Delmas unfortunately blew a motor during his heat race and was forced to scratch from the remainder of the show. Rod wound up fourth in the A-Main, as he crossed underneath the checkers behind only race winner Ben Adkins, Josh McGuire, and Nick Bocook. Complete results from both races can be viewed online at www.lucasdirt.com and www.portsraceway.com.

The Labor Day holiday weekend will take the #71 teams to two different speedplants in the states of West Virginia and Ohio from August 29-31. Rod Conley will be the busiest of the three CMI drivers, as he will compete in both the ‘RaceFest’ at the West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells, West Virginia and the ‘Pepsi 50 River Days Rumble’ at the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio.
