Running 70 Chevelle street stock 112" wheelbase, all stock suspension except tubular uppers. All factory steel body, firewall and floor pan. Emod tires 1" stagger in fr 1 1/2" in rear. 900# lf 1000# rf 275# lr 200# rr 55% left 55% cross 57% rear. Been tightening car all season and it is finally working after changing front and rear spring rates and splits and swapping sides. Raised ride hieghts up an inch from where we run metric chassis which made attitude of car much better but started over travelling front suspension bottoming out rf tie rod on frame. Stiffened up again and car worked better just no bite center off corner went from 51% rear up to 57% and helped a ton and got us running for the win every race but still lacking a little bite and forward drive off exit just a little free. Which I believe is a result of pendulum effect, the car handles so good on entry can enter wot and as it rotates and hooks all rear weight and percentage that is gives bite is cause of loose off.
Sorry for rambling but question I have is how is it possible to get the lead off rear and still have bite up off. Forgot to mention that numbers are with driver full of fuel. Total is 3640# with 430# of lead all behind rear. Being end of season hate to just knock it back down to 3200# & start over but we are dragging around an extra quarter ton with a little 355 running for wins and the weight would difference in getting them.
And no not cutting chassis down or body we still run car at tracks that know measurements of cars and requires full stock bodies. Thanks for any input want to do some traveling and want to be competitive
