Daniel Baggerly Races to Sixth in Buddy Rogers Memorial at Tazewell
(RURAL RETREAT, VIRGINIA) Daniel Baggerly and the B&B Motorsports team had a pair of high-profile events on their radar over the busy Labor Day holiday weekend in the states of Virginia and Tennessee. On Saturday, August 31, the nearby Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia was scheduled to hold a $5,000 to win Fastrak Racing Series showdown. However, Mother Nature had other plans and heavy rain scrapped the event early in the day.
The #16 team then headed to the bad-fast Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee on Sunday, September 1 for the 5th Annual 'Buddy Rogers Memorial.' Daniel clicked off the fourth fastest lap in Group B during Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) qualifying, which locked him into the outside of the fourth row for the start of the $4,400 to win main event. During the course of the 44-lap race, Daniel was able to gain two positions to place sixth in the final rundown behind only winner Billy Ogle, Jr., Vic Hill, Tommy Kerr, Stacy Boles, and Bryan Hendrix. B&B Motorsports is now set to take the upcoming September 6-7 weekend off from Dirt Late Model competition. In fact, they will enjoy the next two weekends away from the racetrack and will return to action on September 20-21. It is unclear at this time where they will race, as the team is mulling over a couple of different options.
