(HARRISBURG, ILLINOIS) Randy Korte and the Riggs Motorsports team notched their seventh feature win of the 2013 racing season on Friday night, August 30 at the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois! Randy ran second in heat race action and later finished second in the dash to earn the outside front row starting spot for the weekly UMP DIRTcar Series feature event. The Highland, Illinois ace then came out on top of the A-Main to score the $1,200 victory over Michael Kloos, Billy Layc0ck, Jason McBride, and Brian Diveley. Saturday's show at the Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri was then won by Mother Nature. Full results from Granite City can be viewed online at www.tricityspeedway.net.

Next up for the Riggs Motorsports team will be the 43rd running of the ‘World 100.’ The event known as “The Granddaddy of Them All” will take place on September 5-7 at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. This Thursday and Friday night at the “Big E” will feature complete shows with a full slate of multi-car time trials to split the field into even/odd groups followed by heat races, B-Mains, and twin 25-lap main events, each paying $5,000 to the winner. On Saturday, the time-honored format of six heat races, along with two B-Mains and B-Scrambles, will lead into the 100-lap ‘World 100,’ which boasts a hefty $46,000 top prize and the prestigious globe trophy.

The total posted awards for the 2013 edition of the ‘World 100’ is a record $283,910. Both Randy Korte and Jason Riggs will be in the pit area this weekend at Eldora. Jason will be looking to make his first ‘World 100’ feature start, while Randy has five career starts to his credit with a personal best tenth place finish back in 2007.
