Brady Smith Lands Second Win of 2013 in Labor Day Shootout at Hibbing Raceway!

(SOLON SPRINGS, WISCONSIN) Brady Smith stood tall in victory lane for the second time in 2013 on Sunday, September 1 at the Hibbing Raceway in Hibbing, Minnesota! After Mother Nature took the win on Saturday in night one of the ‘Labor Day Shootout,’ the two-day WISSOTA special wrapped up Sunday. Brady, who won this same race a year ago, advanced past seven competitors during his heat race to finish in the second spot. The Solon Springs, Wisconsin ace, who then started the 40-lapper from the inside of the third row, grabbed the point on lap twelve and drove to the dominating $3,500 triumph over Darrell Nelson, Travis Budisalovish, Zach Wohlers, and Harry Hanson!

Earlier in the extended Labor Day holiday weekend, the #2 team was in action last Thursday, August 29 in the 41st Annual 'Silver 1000' at the Proctor Speedway in Proctor, Minnesota. Brady ran fourth in heat race action and later climbed to fifth in the $2,500 to win WISSOTA main event. The defending 'Silver 1000' victor crossed underneath the checkers following forty green flag circuits behind only race winner Darrell Nelson, Robby Bunkelman, Pat Doar, and Brent Larson. Full results from both weekend showdowns can be accessed online at www.dirtondirt.com.

The Brady Smith Racing team will now turn their focus to the annual running of the ‘John Seitz Memorial,’ which will be held on September 6-7 at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Late Model heat races and the Pole Dash are scheduled for Friday night, while the B-Mains and the 92-lap headliner are slated for Saturday evening. Brady, who is also the defending ‘John Seitz Memorial’ winner, will be looking for yet another $9,200 payday this weekend!
