R.J. Conley Competes in World Weekend at Eldora; Brushcreek Biggie Next
(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) R.J. Conley made the journey to the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from September 5-7 for the 43rd edition of the 'World 100.' The expanded format kicked off with a pair of Twin 25s, each of which paid $5,000 to the winner. On Thursday night, R.J. ran second in his heat race prior to claiming a strong sixth place performance in the 25-lap feature event. At the "Big E" on Friday evening, R.J. finished third in his heat race, started seventeenth on the grid in the 25-lap main event, and later picked off six competitors en route to a respectable eleventh place showing.
Business really picked up on Saturday at the 1/2-mile, high-banked speedplant, as a $46,000 top prize was on the line in the 'World 100.' Unfortunately, R.J.'s night was a short one, as he was collected in a heat race wreck and wound up fifteenth in the prelim. The Wheelersburg, Ohio ace was done for the night and was forced to watch the 100-lap crown jewel main event. All three Conley Motorsports, Inc. drivers will return to the racetrack this upcoming weekend in the Buckeye State of Ohio. R.J. Conley will compete in ‘One Epic Weekend’ at the Brushcreek Motorsports Complex in Peebles, Ohio on September 13-14. Qualifying and heat races are scheduled for Friday night, while a pair of $10,000 to win, 50-lap headliners will wrap up the epic weekend on Saturday evening. Delmas and Rod Conley, on the other hand, will travel to the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on Saturday for a $2,000 to win weekly program.
