WILMOTH JR WINS $3000 ADRA EARL HILL MEMORIAL! NEXT STOP OVS!
Apple Grove, WV. September 18, 2013~Paul WIlmoth Jr. won the 25th Annual Earl HILL Memorial Race featuring the ADRA Dirt Masters Super Late Models presented by Suddenlink at Tyler County Speedway this past Saturday night. (www.suddenlink.com ) Wilmoth would also be the Dominator Race Products Hard Charger after starting 14th and fighting his way through an extremely talented field of the regions very best. Wilmoth was the 1st repeat winner in 9 completed events of 2013 in the ADRA Dirt Masters Challenge with a win Elkins back in July. Mike Benedum took the Quick Time Suspensions Fast Time Award and backed that up with an awesome 4th place finish in the feature. (www.adraracing.net ) Jared Hawkins won the Super 6 Dash while Keith Barbara and Jacob Hawkins won their heats. The ADRA Dirt Masters presented by Suddenlink will be at the Ohio Valley Speedway in Lubeck, WV this Saturday September 21 for the annual “Finale in the Valley!” paying $1500 to win and $150 to start for Late Models. Originally we had the payout misprinted at $2000 but have since corrected that. The ADRA will be co-sanctioning with the AMRA Kryptonite Race Cars Late Models using the AMRA rules. (www.amramodified.com) The last ADRA event at OVS the AMRA co-sanctioned with us by ADRA rules so it is only fitting we return the favor. All other classes will also run and their purses are increased as well. (www.ohiovalleyspeeday.com)
Kids be sure to stop by the Racers in Christ jump house. There will be free Bibles, t-shirts for sale and toys too. As always there is plenty of spiritual inspiration to anyone in need. (www.racersinchrist.com) The WV Army National Guard/ADRA GRT Late Model is also scheduled to be on hand. Students from the Wood County Vo Tech serve as the crew as part of the WV Motor Sports Development Program. (http://wcvt.wood.tec.wv.us/) Wood County is serving as the pilot school for the program in which a Vo Tech school either builds a car or adopts a local car and becomes that cars crew. The goal is to expand the program state-wide. Any school interested in the program please call Rocky Estep at 304-544-8896.
The gates will open at 3 PM Saturday. General Admission is $15 for adults. Kids 10 and under are free. Pits will be $30. This race historically fills the pits and pit overflow so toters and larger haulers please try to be early as it will be much easier to park you before the crowd arrives. The food at the track is awesome and priced family friendly so no need to stop on the way. Come on out and join in the fun! See ya at the track!
