Brady Smith Earns Podium Finish in Legendary 100; Starts Prepping for Knoxville

(SOLON SPRINGS, WISCONSIN) Brady Smith and his #2 team struck out to the legendary Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin from September 13-15 for the annual running of the 'Legendary 100.' Brady took the win in his heat race on Friday night and later finished third in the dash. Following a rain-out on Saturday, the long weekend wrapped up on Sunday with the $5,000 to win main event. The Solon Springs, Wisconsin standout started the 40-lapper from the inside of the second row and wound up finishing third behind only race winner Scott Gilberts and runner-up Jimmy Mars. The Brady Smith Racing team is now set to enjoy the September 20-21 weekend off from racing action, but will start prepping their equipment for the upcoming ‘Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals.’ The 10th edition of the crown jewel event will take place at the historic Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa from September 26-28. A $7,000 top prize will be on the line in each of the two prelims on Thursday and Friday, while Saturday’s Championship Night will be headlined by the $40,000 to win, 100-lap A-Main. Brady was the 2007 victor of the ‘Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals’ and finished a strong runner-up last season.
