Ray Cook Claims Tenth Feature Win of 2013 at Dixie Speedway; EAMS Next!

(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) Ray Cook and his self-owned #53 team bagged their tenth feature win of the 2013 racing season on Saturday night, September 14 at the historic Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia! Ray laid down the fastest lap overall during the time trial session, which locked him into the pole position for the unsanctioned 'Fall Championship.' Ray then led from flag-to-flag in the A-Main to score the $2,000 victory over Michael Page, Donald McIntosh, Doug Stevens, and Jake Knowles!

Earlier in the weekend, Ray Cook Racing traveled to the Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tennessee on Friday evening, September 13 for a $3,000 to win Southern Regional Racing Series (SRRS) showdown. Ray won his consolation race to advance into the 35-lap main event. After starting the feature from the inside of the fourth row, the Brasstown, North Carolina pilot picked off four competitors en route to a solid third place showing behind only victor Billy Ogle, Jr. and runner-up Skip Arp. Complete results from these two programs can be accessed online at www.southernregionalracingseries.com and www.dixiespeedway.com.

The #53 team is currently set to enjoy the September 20-21 weekend away from the racetrack. Their next scheduled event will be the 35th Annual ‘Alabama State Championship’ on September 28-29 at the East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama. The Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) will preside over a pair of $4,000 to win programs on Saturday and Sunday, while Ray will also enter a Crate Late Model to vie for the $5,000 top prize.
