Josh McGuire Racing Readies for Harvest 50 on Heels of 201 Runner-Up!

(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) With inclement weather shuffling their weekend schedule, Josh McGuire and his #41 team headed to the legendary Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana and 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky on September 21-22. On Saturday in the 34th edition of the 'Jackson 100' at Brownstown, Josh timed in twelfth quickest in Group B during Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying and later finished fifth in his stacked heat race. Following a second place effort in his B-Main, Josh started the $15,000 to win main event from the outside of the tenth row. The Grayson, Kentucky native then moved forward early in the 100-lapper, but unfortunately clipped an inside utility tire and later retired in the twenty-first position.

At 201 on Sunday, the unsanctioned 'Roger Breeding Memorial' was on tap and a $5,000 top prize was on the line. Josh clicked off the seventh fastest lap during the time trial session prior to scoring a heat race triumph. After rolling off from the inside of the second row in the A-Main, the mayor of "Bad Fast" was able to move up one spot on his way to a strong runner-up performance behind only victor Jackie Boggs. Complete results from both weekend races can be obtained by clicking on www.dirtondirt.com.

Next up for the Josh McGuire Racing (JMR) team will be one of their favorite events of the season. The annual running of the ‘Harvest 50’ will take place this Saturday, September 28 at Skyline Speedway in Stewart, Ohio. The unsanctioned, one-day program will be headlined by a $5,000 to win feature event, which pays $500 just to start the race. Josh is a four-time winner of the storied event, as he took the checkers back in 2006, 2008, 2009, and 2012. Additional information on the 50-lapper can be accessed by logging onto www.skylinespeedway.net.
