Josh McGuire Runner-Up at Southern Ohio Speedway; DTWC Next
(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) Josh McGuire, of Grayson, Kentucky, unloaded his #41 machine on Saturday evening, October 5 at Southern Ohio Speedway in Wheelersburg, Ohio, as the 5th Annual 'Black Jack & Farley Boggs Memorial' was held at the storied speedplant. The unsanctioned event drew fourteen competitors to the Buckeye State complex to vie for the $3,000 top prize. Josh recorded the fourth quickest lap during the time trial session and later placed fifth in the dash. After starting the main event from the inside of the third row, Josh was able to pick off three competitors en route to his twelfth runner-up performance of the 2013 racing season behind only victor Jackie Boggs. Josh McGuire Racing (JMR) is now slated to enjoy the upcoming October 11-12 weekend away from the racetrack. They will be busy; however, prepping their equipment for the highly-anticipated ‘Dirt Track World Championship’ on October 18-19 at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. The 33rd edition of the ‘DTWC’ will once again be sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and will be taped by the television cameras of the Lucas Oil Production Studios. Qualifying and heat races will take place at PRP next Friday, while the consolation events, ‘Jim Dunn Memorial’ Non-Qualifiers Race, and the $50,000 to win ‘Dirt Track World Championship’ are all scheduled for next Saturday.
