Gearing and Tires for clarys speedway NC

planning on going to clarys speedway in NC the end of October and was trying to figure out what gear I need to run ? 358 all steel motor turn it around 7500-7800 rpm . Also whats the track like as far as being abrasive and what do they run on a regular night what it gets dry slick ?

We never get abrasive and dusty we run 1100-1200 and have a 1325 or 1350 option. We turn 8k on a 7.17 gear. It is really easy on tires the only time you bust out the 1350 is the bigger shows where there is alot of laps on the track!

Thanks for the info... you still run 1100-1200 in the slick on a regular night 20-25 laps ?

It never gets slick there at worst a little dusty but between races moisture comes back through the track and you have some dew as well you can stay on the 1200 and maybe if it looks like it's drying go to a 1325 but we really don't burn them up
