Brandon Kinzer Earns Top Tens in Ponderosa Double-Dip; Trip to Talladega Next

(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) The Kinzer Motorsports team roared into the Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky on October 11-12 for the 23rd edition of the 'Fall Classic.' The doubleheader weekend opened up at the "Pond" on Friday night with the annual running of the 'Ironman Classic,' which boasted a $2,000 winner's check. Brandon Kinzer ran third in heat race action and later started the 30-lap main event from the outside of the sixth row. Brandon then picked off three competitors during the unsanctioned race on his way to a solid ninth place performance.

On Saturday evening, the unsanctioned 'Fall Classic' was held at Ponderosa and the strong field of competitors had their eyes fixated on the $5,000 top prize. Brandon once again finished third in his heat race, which placed him starting from the outside of the fifth row in the 50-lapper. The Allen, Kentucky ace sported a fast hotrod throughout the race and was able to pass four racecars en route to a sixth place effort. BK crossed underneath the checkers on Saturday behind only victor Dustin Linville, Brad Neat, Greg Johnson, David Webb, and Victor Lee. Full results from the double-dip at Ponderosa Speedway can be accessed online at www.ponderosaspeedway.net.

Brandon and his #18 team will return to dirt-slinging competition on October 18-19 at the Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama. The track deemed as the “Hornets’ Nest” will preside over a pair of shows this upcoming weekend that coincides with the NASCAR Sprint Cup events across the street at the Talladega Superspeedway. An unsanctioned $2,000 to win race will kick things off on Friday evening, while the Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) will roll into TST on Saturday night. The 40-lapper on Saturday will pay $4,000 to the winner. Additional information can be obtained by pointing your web browser to www.talladegashorttrack.com.
