Dennis Erb, Jr. Set to Close Out Lucas Oil Series Campaign with DTWC

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Carpentersville, Illinois standout Dennis Erb, Jr. wrapped up the 2013 version of the inaugural National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) tour on October 11-12 at the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Imperial, Pennsylvania. In night one of the 25th edition of the 'Pittsburgher 100' on Friday, Dennis ran sixth in his heat race and third in his B-Main. After receiving a series provisional to gain access into the $10,000 to win main event, Dennis was able to move up seven spots during the 50-lapper en route to a sixteenth place performance.

On Saturday at the storied 1/2-mile facility, a $25,000 payday was up for grabs in the 'Pittsburgher 100.' Dennis was once again forced to utilize a NDRL Series provisional after winding up sixth in his heat race and ninth in his B-Main. He was then the first retiree from the 100-lap extra-distance affair and was relegated to a disappointing twenty-fifth place finish. Following the completion of the NDRL tour, Dennis found himself seventh in the final series point standings. Additional information on the doubleheader at PPMS can be obtained online at www.thendrl.com.

The Dennis Erb Racing team has now turned their focus to the 33rd Annual ‘Dirt Track World Championship,’ which will be held this weekend (October 18-19) at the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. The season finale for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will start with qualifying and heat races on Friday night, while the huge weekend will conclude on Saturday evening with consolation events, $3,000 to win ‘Jim Dunn Memorial’ Non-Qualifiers Race, and 100-lap ‘Dirt Track World Championship.’ A whopping $50,000 payday will go to the winner of the DTWC, while each main event starter will receive at least $2,000.

Cameras of the Lucas Oil Production Studios will once again be on hand at PRP throughout the weekend to tape the dirt-slinging action for broadcast on Fox Sports 1 and MavTV. Dennis comes into the final event on the LOLMDS schedule fifth in the national series point standings.
