Billy Moyer Racing Slated for Weekend Off Following Top Ten DTWC Finish
(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) invaded the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on October 18-19 for the 33rd edition of the 'Dirt Track World Championship.' A stout field of 79 competitors converged on PRP for the crown jewel extravaganza, which boasted a hefty $50,000 payday. On Friday night, Billy Moyer timed in third quickest in Group B during Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying and later scored the win in his heat race over Jimmy Owens and Shane Clanton.
After starting from the outside of the second row in Saturday's 100-lap main event, Billy ran amongst the top five through most of the extra-distance affair. When the checkers fell at the conclusion of the DTWC, the Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer found himself in the seventh finishing position. Billy and his #21 team have opted to take the upcoming October 25-26 weekend off from Dirt Late Model competition.
