i recently just purchased an engine heater, but i am stumped on the best way to plumb it to the motor due to the thermostat. whats the best way to plumb the motor so water cycles through the full system and so the thermostat doesnt affect it??cheers

Get rid of the thermostat. Run a restrictor if necessary but most don't run anything at all.

ok so restrictor plate or nothing is the go. but when it comes to the whole plumbing situation how do most people do it. do they plumb via the bottom sides of the block or do they run a check valve in the bottom radiator line?

Both sides of the block.

Last one we ran was in the lower rad hose. I just run a pan heater now.
