I have a 76 carlo shortened to a metric car length and I was gonna see if there were more cars like mine cause im having handling problems and everything we do the car its the same. No side bite then that leads to no drive off the corner. I've even tried buying a rear end for. I a guy on heregguaranteed to gain me bite a few it didn't work.. I race on high banked tracks one is short red clay track but becomes dry slick and then the other is regular track dirt and it's a larger track both tracks the car handles the same.. Is the any secrets to thes cars like bar angles or caster/camber. I had the car build 4 years ago but The builder passed away.. The car was build off another car that always showed up and spanned ass at my track when he came.. Any hints, secrets, or advise

Nothing does more for forward bite than rear weight. What are your percentages and where is the weight?

I have this same car it was a 76 Monte Carlo we cut it behind driver seat and shortened 4 inches and put a g body on it Havant got to race it yet still building it I'm very curious to see how this work because of the old a body width but with the 108 wheelbase.

Two things to make the 76 monte work.
The rearend trail arms are longer than the metric, shorten them.
The front track width is too wide; front spring choice and roll center is critical.

I'm going to run a 20 inch lr with 100# rate with 175 RR 13 inch spring I have 900 ref and 800 of car weights 3200 me in it. I used the metric rear trailing arms and mounted a out board 9 inch lr shock because if you use factory style shock with factory mounts when it gets over on rf it'll try picking up lr tire making you extremely loose getting to the middle of corner.
