Ream the top as shallow as you can, ( just deep enough to get the threads thru the spindle). The bottom is reamed using a 3/4 flat washer as a stop. Put the reamer thru the washer and then in to the spindle. The washer will stop the reamer at the right depth. The lower is a 2" taper and a k6117 ball joint.

The 2010 cars were built both ways. 606 878-7223
