I have a chance to trade a old 4 wheeler we don't use anymore for a 602 crate motor that was in a buddies car when he bought it late this year and just wanted to run his built motor next year. We know nothing about these and looking for input. The way we trade I would have less than $500 in the motor.
Our class is stock suspension, 3400lb weight rule, big 1/4 mile track tight turns decent banking usually has grip. He said he had it geared to run 5500-5800 and that is what he thought it was supposed to pull the best at.
Has anyone here run one of these or know where you should gear them to run? If 5500 5800 is sweet spot then the gear I have should yield a 5800- 6000 RPM or so after I change tires to the big tires. I may try this instead of rebuilding my motor for next year. Thanks for input
