Diet because car is right at weight with no lead. Driver is 205. If i can lose 10 pounds off the front i can move my battery forward and add lead to center of car.

I am new to mods....are all these cars this heavy? My shaw is a tick over 2500 with 15 gallons of fuel

Depending on the rules you are running. 2500# is minimum with USRA if you run an "open" aluminum head motor.

Dart lil M block? They are about 40pds heavier than a stock block. Look at the bumper and how its mounted to drop a couple pounds. Cheapest thing to do is to put the driver on a diet!!

But to answer the original question, yes alot of guys run the single rows on alky w/o issue. Just be sure to clean it every couple races.
