CARTERSVILLE, GA – The 2014 Rules for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division and the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series are now posted on the series web site at www.nesmithracing.com. There are two significant changes in the 2014 Rulebook that competitors and track operators need to make note of for the upcoming season.

Under the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Tire Rule for both the Touring Division and the Weekly Racing Series, officials have implemented stiffer penalties and fines to competitors that are ruled to have chemically altered a tire(s) on their race car during the 2014 racing season.

Series officials have adjusted the Double Feature rule for the 2014 season in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Rulebook. It now reads that a NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series sanctioned track has the option to hold Double Features for each rainout they incur as long as they notify NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Director Roby Helm two weeks prior to the scheduled Double Feature night, so that the series can get the word out to all competitors.

The first five NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division races of the 2014 season will be the Bubba Army Winternationals at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL on January 28 through February 1. A driver’s best three out of five point nights from the Bubba Army Winternationals will count towards their 2014 season total.

The next three events for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division will be at Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, GA for the Super Bowl of Racing on February 6, February 7, and February 8. A driver’s best two out of three point nights from the Golden Isles Speedway race count towards their 2014 season total.

The 27-week 2014 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series season will open on March 24 and run through September 28. A driver’s best 14 weekly point totals will count towards their 2014 season total.
