BLP, VDL. both are good......but there's a lot more out there.

JDR seems to be the hot ticket right now.

You'll get a ton of different answers. JDR is what i use. Very consistent carbs and great driveability.

thanks for the responses. Our rules changed from rochester 2G's to Holley 4412's. Just trying to figure out who is the go to for these carbs. I'm sure I'll get a ton of different opinions of who is the best, but atleast I have an idea of which direction to go in.

JDR, great carb off the corner and I never had a better one on starts/re-starts. I had John build one from my core and the only thing I did with mine was lower the jet size from the 85's it came with, to 75's. I ran it on different engine combo's and it always preformed.

JDR powered me to 34 wins and I can't drive build a car or set one up.

Lol! I'd say that from the results and pictures I've seen that you are pretty darn capable of all three.

yeah, pretty sure nobody gets 34 wins without some sort of ability, the car surely doesn't drive itself.

I ran VDL. Great carbs. Gauge legal out performed many cheater carbs on the Dyno. There are several good 4412 out there, but they aint cheep, so if you see one on Ebay for 250.00 avoid it! LOL

Willy's! While mine isn't gauge legal (doesn't need to be in my rules....it's a custom build), it almost performs as well as my 4 barrel....which is the 750cfm willy's ultimate slick track carb. I noticed more bottom and midrange power with the 4 vs. the 2, but it wasn't a big amount.

By gauge, I assume you mean booster height gauge?

If you are on a budget really can't beat Kinetic Performance: http://www.kineticperformanceracing.com/index.html We had very good luck with his carbs on our northern sportmods.

I'd call JDR. Willy's, BLP and VDL are good too. Run away from the cheapie 500 carbs. There is no such thing as a free lunch.

Me and my buddies that raced northern Sportmods all ran kinetic performance 4412s. Guy won points at Eagle against 50 cars a night. Dayton's 4412s are about the Closest thing you will get to a free lunch.

We like to run the T.C.C., "Total Custom Carbs" out of south Louisiana.
