I'm doing a little market research and figured 4m might actually provide some valuable feedback.

Where do you get most of your racing parts?
Online retailer
Local speed shop
Direct from manufacturer

Mostly from Speedway.

Local Race shop. Their prices are very close to that of speedway, for example. and that's before speedway ships. I support my local guys as best I can. Plus shipping to Canada is ridiculous.

Stuff that has to be bought, locally. The rest I build.

I typically order off the internet, not much around here for parts stores. There's a couple speed shops, but it's kind of hit and miss on what they have.

I've had great luck with Outlaw Race Parts, Lou Fegers (crazy fast delivery for this area and good prices), and kyser also. I generally avoid Speedway Motors, no particular reason, just do.

I normally buy from bigger catalog places close to me. I buy from them for their service/inventory. I'm not looking for the absolute cheapest price. The bigger places around me get it to me in 1 day, have large inventory and i have no issues sending stuff back if there is a problem.

Speedway or most of the time Summit Racing. They'll always be cheaper and usually have most all the parts I need plus I get it the next day.

I get alot from my chassis manufacture and Summit. I stay away from Speedway cause of there crazy shipping prices. When they have there 7.99 shipping deals, I will order from them. I try to support my local shop and chassis manufacture.

My first choice is to buy from my chassis builder(Larry Shaw). I get to talk to the same guy every single time I call. He knows who I am. He doesn't ever ask me my customer #, catalog #, shoe size, address, nor how big of a turd I dropped that morning. I don't even have to know the part #. Parts ship out the same day and the prices are close to everybody elses.
