Just curious if anyone has used one of these?

Sounds like they are quite a bit lighter, and more efficient also, hopefully as durable?

I guess someone will find out if they can handle the abuse. I wonder what they pressure rating is on the crimps that holds the plastic tanks on. And will they stand up to all the harsh forces that is dirt track racing.

We used to run the thicker Ford Taurus Rads in PS/SS. Even ran the factory elec. fan that bolted directly to the rad for awhile. Ran a 22psi cap and never had an issue.

I run an alum. core/plastic tank radiator in my mustang ministock & have no problems.

I guess which class are you running? I'm thinking they won't work in a Modified or LM because of the rough ride they have from all the suspension. Street stock would probably be ok.

I'm running a late model. Kinda going back and forth on this. I'd think overall the plastic would be a lot more sturdy and possibly forgiving than an aluminum tank radiator. But that depends on how the plastic is fastened to the aluminum too.

All Star is who makes them (at least where I've seen them), so I kind of tend to believe they are a decent piece since I doubt they'd sell too much junk...

Go for it, and let us know how it turns out.

ran stock plastic/aluminum radiators for years in my minitruck. rolled it two different times and while a number of things were torn up the radiator never failed. just make sure it is mounted correctly.
