Engine won races on the heavy and on black slick. Engine won championship first year, lead points almost every night year two until final two nights. (had baby and lost a little focus halfway through season) Oil Filter and oil changed every two nights of racing (approx. 35 laps each night on 1/3 mile), and only run with Schaeffer's 20w 50 synthetic oil. Air cleaner cleaned every week and the air cleaner cover and base lightly greased. Valves and timing checked every night and never run over 190 deg.

Here is some history for this engine. I purchased this engine in 2009 from B&B in Appleton, wi as a used engine. When it was built the block was used, but the lower end rotating assembly was all new. I raced the engine in my dirt latemodel for a year (15 nights) and the following year I had Pro-Power freshen the engine and change to their cam, gas ported pistons, and a couple other changes. I raced the engine for another year (15 nights) and then decided to go modified racing. I traded my aluminum heads for a set of steel heads. Pro-Power changed the engine for a modified, put a new oil pump and pan on the engine. They converted to the steel heads and put a new set of rockers and pushrods. I raced the engine for two years with a modified (30 nights), and then an opportunity came to race for someone else, so the engine was put away for 6 months, and then we took it to Pro-Power and had them pull the pan off and check the bearings so we could use it as a spare. It has been at Pro-Power since. I have won around 7 or 8 features with the engine and a championship.
