New to Bert's this last year. When I push the clutch in, it kinda makes a squealing noise sometimes on takeoff. I have heard this noise from other cars, too. Sounds sort of like a bearing galling.

Does this necessarily mean that the clutches are worn out? or is this just normal? Something else? It doesn't do it all the time, but didn't do it at all at the beginning of the year.

Trans seems fine otherwise.

thx

What type of fluid do you run? was it changed every 2 races?

its more than likely fine.
type F fluid is recommended in them.
clutches are glazed a little bit, and are chattering a bit on takeoff.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't think I had burned it up but wanted some opinions.

I use the Bert Blue Magic fluid in it. Wouldn't that be better than off-the-shelf Type F? Or just a sales gimmick? If I have to change that every two races, I'm switching to SuperTECH!

How do you know when the clutches are worn out? Just won't pull anymore in first or reverse?
