I am helping some dirt guys with this car, kind of want to get a basic set up for springs and shocks and percentages. I am new to dirt stuff, have asphalt experience though 12 years. 72 chevelle, 3183 total weight, 46.3 cross,53.8 left, 47.1 rear. 1200Lf ,1000rf,200lr,175rr. Shocks4lf,7rf,3lr,4rr. Ride heights lf7 8rf, 9lr,11rr. Looking for some advice as to weather this is right? They have to stay close to the bottom and middle to get the car to turn and have speed. Thanks in advance mark...

Would really like to see you knock about 200 pounds off the front half of the car. 47% rear at 3200 lbs isn't even close , need at least 51% , so you have to add probably 250lbs. ( just a guess ) to the rear . Do you really want to weigh 3450?

You're sprung way too soft in the rear for that heavy of a car, I also think you're sprung too stiff on the lf. I would even up the front springs and try a pair of 250's in the rear. Also you're too heavy on your rf shock take it to a 4 or 5. I too agree, try to shave some front weight, would also like to see the cross up around 49 or 50.

Put the front of the car on a diet, aim for 51 rear%.
Put the bite at 60#.
Put a 900 in the LF.
Put 225 springs in both rears.
Put #5 shocks in both fronts.
Level the front inner a arm bolts to the center of the ball joints.
Put the LR ride height 1 inch higher than LF and the RR level with the RF.

they have you going in the right direction for rear percent 51% minimum IMO and lighten car if possible

Can you post the corner weights, I came up with mine and am curious if they are the same.

755 LR 748 RR

Has the car ever been hit hard in the RF ? The LF looks too heavy for just a spring.

David bauer, The weights you posted are only 3 lbs different, 962lf,722rf,752lr,749rr, i have received some pretyy good info from you folks here!!! thank you so much now i just need to get the car to my shop to see if it is square and do some measurements and change some springs and scale it and put NEW tires on it...

Check the RF lower a arm. They bend between the spring pocket and the ball joint. That would lower the corner weight.
