Whats the opinion or thoughts on running a set of valve springs without the dampeners? Having a tough time trying to find a 1.25 od valve spring that fits over the valve bosses on the vortec heads of the GM 602 crate engine. Engine does not have to stay sealed or stock so just trying to upgrade valve springs. $50 for the crap GM springs every 5-8 races is getting real old and I dont want to pull the heads to machine the valve bosses just yet. I've found cheater springs in the $2-300 range from different companies but thats allot of cash. Just hopeing maybe theres something else out there that I'm not finding. Thanks.
