Guys are running all different lengths and having success, I've seen from 26 inches to 36 inches or longer , for us personal we have always had good luck in races we won with a lift bar around 30 to 32 inches from center of axle tube ,and around a 300 spring but also same thing I've talked too and helped guys running anywhere from 225 to 350 spring and shocks 3 compression 7 rebound is common but have tried varies shock spring combinations and had mixed results but seem to have had best luck around 3c-7r shock and 300 pound spring for us personally

I agree with everything that Demon88 said except the length,on UMP tires we can't get shorter than 36 out because we lose to much drive thats what works for us anyway the thing people sometimes forget to mention is how much better the liftarm car is in the corners than a pullbar car.
