I have a 12" beadlock wheel w/ 5" BS that I bought from someone (neither one of us realized it) and would like to know if I keep it...

1) How will it effect the handling of the car?
2) Which corner can I use it on?
3) Any pro's/con's?

Should I return it? (Only paid $75 and he will refund)

~Thanks~

Sorry, I should have stated...the difference in a 12" as opposed to the 14" that I normally run?

~Thanks~

It can be used as a tuning option for sure and people do. But how it changes the car would take way too long to explain.

Use it to manipulate your tires contact patch and flex ability is the best I can tell you here.

Pretty sure you are going to see an increased rollout on your tire. Could maybe be used to fine tune stagger?

Brian, I am not smart enough to get into all the engineering aspects...so can you dummy it down for me and just point me in the right direction?

Which corners do you use it on?
What should I look for it to do to the car as far as tighten or loosen it?
I believe it stiffens the sidewall of the tire, does this effect the spring rate? Stiffen?

I noticed the difference because it was laying next to a 14" wheel and it looks like it is a 7" backspace...is this just a trick on the eyes or does it actually some what work like a different backspace?

It depends on what tire you use. I was being as lay as possible.

You can use rim width to manipulate your tires . use it anywhere you need to change contact patch or flexibility. Its a good way to get some more stagger. Run lower air pressure and make the tire more flexible. I have a few 12s and I use them time to time at any corner

It will also help the tire build heat. These types of changes can effect track width and alignments so keep that in mind when making changes to rim width
