It depends on who you talk to.

Orange front cars have 1 inch shorter axle tube on the left rear. If memory serves me right blue front cars have 33"left and 36"right axles in them.

If it worked don't you think rocket would use it, or suggest it as a tuning option, or ever mention it, they want their cars to win when they win they sell more cars.....call them up and ask them what they think...

Used different width or axle length GRT rear end in a old Rocket when we started because it was the cheapest one we could buy to build the car. It worked ok but we were just learning. Car was tight but we just used the if the car does this do this GRT sheet and advice from other drivers. For a POS car it did ok but we never won anything but it was not because of the rearend. newer to computers than racin. Not wantin to argue.

For anyone learning no need to reinvent the wheel because then if you ask advice from a Rocket guy your not running rocket components and you don't know if what you have done has effected something else. Its best to just use whats called for that way when you need help you have a shorter list of possibilities. IMO, or say someone is trying to help you and you forget to tell them. Its not an expensive fix new tube and axle, also you have to remember to move your components to the proper location on the cages and what not with a longer tube, when it would normally be pretty much located by the caliper mounts.
