I got some JE pistons from Race Engineering. My engine build found that the valve pocket are off, it seem that they didn't believe me, put a center punch down the guild it was off like .050, need to cut new pockets. Hate to spend more money

Well, I'm going to try to make a chevy intake valve (1.94 and valve stem same diameter as ford valve ) into a cutter and and try and cut pistons in the block. They are the H435p pistions, so if i screw up wont be out much.

I would take them to a shop that has a milling machine and piston vice and have them do it that way you would be more accurate for depth without to much work. Also you will want to have .060 clearance radially so you would have to use a bigger diameter valve than the one you are going to run.
