Brake line size to rear 3/16 or 1/4?

We are running new brake lines to the back of mu buddies car. Using reverse mount pedals and camaro calipers. Does he need 1/4" or 3/16 line from master to tee? Sorry if this is a stupid question but 3/16 seems small. thanks

Thats what I thought but when we pulled the old out it was 1/4? Just had me wondering?
